ENGINEERING DATA Load Ratings DRP Roller unit load capacities are stated as maximum capacities for highly loaded, slow moving applications. Not all of the load capacities are based on bearing/bushing capabilities. Our design team can help in determining if our product is correct for your application. Typical DRP Roller Characteristics - Roller Surface Hardness 50 HRC min. - Roller Shafts Heat Treated Alloy Steel - Housing Mild or HT/Q&T Steel - Operating Temperature 0 to 200°F Other Roller Considerations - Operating Environment - Track to Roller Alignment - Track Capacity - Multiple Roller Assembly Alignment - Loading Regime - Shock / Impact Mounting Fasteners Given the use of tapped holes for mounting the standard roller units, DRP suggests, at a minimum, mounting fasteners are to be SAE J429, Grade 8 or equal. Tensile Strength: 150 ksi, Yield Strength: 120 ksi Friction A coefficient of friction of 0.05 or 5% is applicable for DRP standard rollers. When a customer receives a set of DRP rollers, one may observe that the rollers do not "free wheel". This is due to the friction between the seals and rollers. Once under load, the roller units will exhibit excellent low friction characteristics. |
